About EMI.

Evangelism Missions Incorporated was born on January 1, 1971 when Dr. J.C. Keller answered the call to help missionaries send the Gospel to the ends of the earth. EMI was founded as a local church ministry that would serve to assist other local Baptist Churches in carrying out the Great Commission.

In 1997 Dr. Braxton Baker was named as President of EMI. Under his leadership, the home office was moved from Chattanooga, Tennesse to Thorsby, Alabama.

Over the course of its history, EMI has sent hundreds of missionaries around the world to win others to Christ. The missionaries of EMI serving world-wide are committed to sharing Christ with the world and being obedient to God's command to go into all the world.

"I count it a rare privilege to give my full support to the work of Evangelism Missions, Inc. I know of its active program at this time under the direction of Dr. Braxton Baker. Evangelism Missions is a good name! It gives emphasis to the real purpose of missions - the winning of lost souls!"
